Best Resources for A Level Computer Science (9608)

Computer Science was introduced as an A Level subject in 2015 and it has gained great popularity since then. It has four papers; Paper 1 and 3 are theory based and Paper 2 and 4 cover the programming aspect of the course.

Most schools tend to use the book by Sylvia Langfield and Dave Duddell but owing to the fact that the syllabus has been updated numerous times, it no longer covers the entire syllabus.

For this reason, I decided to put together a website this summer that caters to the latest edition of the C.A.I.E A Level Computer Science specification.

A Level Computer Science Online contains handwritten notes for Paper 1 and Paper 2 (Paper 3 and 4 will be launched soon), over 72 past papers and mark schemes that can be used to gauge your progress as you learn, Example Candidate Responses & Topic Guides straight from Cambridge that allow students to concentrate on specific areas of the syllabus and Challenging Questions to ensure that candidates are fully equipped for the exam.

All the aforementioned resources can be downloaded, completely free of cost, from the A Level CS Online website.

UPDATE (23/9/2018): We have started making notes for Paper 3, Advanced Theory! Notes for the first two chapters, Communication & Internet Technologies and Hardware can be downloaded from here.
